LA VAQUERA

One of the first works in my collection, this piece embodies both strength and femininity. Crafted in vibrant neon pinks, oranges, and touches of blue, it merges the essence of a cowboy jacket with the fluid, entwined forms of snakes. The flowing strands echo the fringe of a classic leather jacket but also evoke the movement of a snake’s body—wrapping, coiling, and shedding.
Designed to be both a wall-hanging and a wearable sculpture, the piece takes on different shapes depending on its arrangement. At times, it resembles a heart; at others, it recalls the tangled forms of a serpent’s nest, a recurring inspiration in my work. Snakes have long been symbols of transformation, duality, and renewal—ideas that are woven into this piece’s structure and meaning.
With its adaptability, this work shifts between statement garment and sculptural display, inviting different interpretations of strength, evolution, and connection.
