About me.

Hi, I’m Rodrigo, an interdisciplinary artist and designer, based in San Francisco, whose work blends wearable art, sculpture, and cultural storytelling. My journey has been shaped by a dedication to exploring identity, heritage, and self-expression through art that invites curiosity and interaction.

Much of my work up until now has been inspired by Bolivia, where I was born and raised. The country’s vivid colors, intricate patterns, and rich folklore are woven throughout my collections, reflecting a deep respect for my roots and a desire to honor my heritage. Yet, as I grow, my inspirations continue to expand, drawing from LGBTQ themes, cultural intersections, and explorations of engineering and social dynamics. I’m also eager to experiment with new materials, pushing the boundaries of what wearable art and functional objects can become. Each piece I create is a blend of past and present influences, resulting in versatile, wearable sculptures and objects that challenge the lines between art, function, and identity.

Art, for me, is an evolving journey toward a life that feels both expressive and true. I design my pieces to be interacted with, worn, displayed, and even reimagined in ways that resonate with each viewer. My hope is that my work inspires others to embrace their own stories, honoring both where they come from and the new directions they’re discovering.

Thank you for joining me on this path. I invite you to explore my work and find your own connection to the themes that inspire it—heritage, transformation, and the pursuit of authenticity.
